I’ll start out discussing a the characteristics of a simple or plain pedestal sink. Usually they will lack a lot of designs and special features. They are just your standard sink. Think no fancy curves but rather a plain pedestal leg and on top is just a simple sink bowl. Although having something so simple in your bathroom can really improve its look. Its funny but lots of bathrooms look better with a simple plain pedestal sink than a fancy one. These types can work in either a bathroom with a lot going on or just a little bit of background colors. Think about it, if you have a nice little, simple bathroom a perfect sink for it would be just a normal pedestal sink with out all the frills. It will fit right in. On the other hand a simple pedestal sink will look nice in a bathroom with lots going on since it will stand out from the surrounding busyness and draw your eye to it.

While a simple pedestal sink can pretty much go with any type of bathroom I think that a fancy pedestal sink should only be used when the bathroom is also very fancy and has a lot of extras to it. The reason is that in a fancy pedestal sink would stick out to much and make your little, simple powder room look weird. I know some people do not agree with this but its just my humble opinion on how it would look.
