Franke are a good brand of stainless steel sinks. Franke offer a huge selection of designs to choose from, and have been in the business for many years, so they know what they are doing. Every sink goes through quality checks, and all their products are made with great care and enthusiasm, which is why they have built themselves such a great name. Franke Stainless Steel sinks typically range from around $200 to $400, depending on the size of the sink in question, as well as the type of model and most importantly, where you purchase the sink from.

Blanco are another great stainless steel sink maker, and are a very reputable business. They provide a large selection of designs, and offer many of their sinks in a whole bathroom design, perfect fro those planning on re doing their whole bathroom altogether. Blanco sinks all go through quality checks just like Franke, and Blanco sinks tend to retail for around $300, but this can vary largely depending on where you purchase their sinks from.

Astracast are another good make of stainless steel sinks, and provide some of the top of the range sinks on the market. Often supplying sinks to commercial premises, Astracast are renowned for producing quality and long lasting products. Their sinks come with long guarantees, and you can find their sinks all over the country. Expect to pay anywhere from $200 to $500 for a stainless steel sink from Astracast, size and quality being the main factor with the price.

Whatever brand you choose to go for, make sure you have measured up your exact size requirements, as mistakes can be a pain to rectify and could end up costing you even more money. Do not rush into buying the first sink you see that you like, if you find a nice one search around other shops for the same model, as you may be able to find the same sink for much cheaper.

The price you pay however on any sink largely depends on where you get it from, and it is well worth taking a look around various different shops to get the best price.

When buying a glass sink take your time, and make sure you measure your requirements correctly, as it can be disastrous to get wrong.

If you are going be going for a sink in the under one hundred dollar category, do not expect to get very much. One example is the Deluxe Pedestal Sink which is made my Randolph Morris. It has four inch faucet drillings and is made from vitreous China. I’ve only seen this model in white but I guess thats not a big deal since most pedestal sinks are white. The dimensions are twenty two inches by nineteen inches by thirty five inches. This is just your basic pedestal sink and seems like a good one if you are just starting out and want to see if you do really like these kind of sinks. Keep in mind most places will sell the faucet setup separately.

One of my favorites from the medium price category is the Cheviot Shell Pedestal Sink. It is also made from Vitreous China and has the four inch center faucet drillings. This particular model has a very beautiful design. To me it would fit perfect in an ocean or blue themed bathroom. It really reminds me of seeing shells washed up on the beach. I also like how the pattern on it stops short of the base. You should be able to find this pedestal sink for under $279. If you do go with this one, you will need to buy a four inch bridge faucet or a center set faucet for it.

A pedestal sink that costs over $1,100 better deliver some great quality and the Parisian Grande Pedestal Sink made by St. Thomas creations does not disappoint. Most pedestal sinks have the problem of not having any room to store things on it, well thats not the issue with the Parisian. It is over 43 inches wide with lots of space for you around the bowl. This model will really set you apart as having a classy and rich pedestal sink. The only downside is the size is much bigger when it comes to comparing it to most pedestal sinks, but if you are going pay over one thousand dollars on a sink I’m sure you’ll have room for it. I hope to one day get one for my home.

The Standard Collection Pedestal Sink by American Standard is one of my favorites. Whats so great about this pedestal sink is that it is pretty much exactly the same as the original made back in 1922. How cool is that! Although its been updated for the modern world so it can meet the new codes and regulations it is basically the same sink. One thing that is noticeably different is the Standard has a height of 36 inches. Of course back in the day, pedestal sinks were much shorter since people were not as tall as they are now. The height difference is not a big deal to me since it makes it more comfortable for us to use. I saw this pedestal sink selling for around $350.

Now the Kathryn Pedestal Lavatory by Kohler is expensive but worth it if your a fan of top notch pedestal sinks. I’ve seen this one go from $450 to $800 depending where you buy and what options you get with it. The Kathryn Pedestal Lavatory is a wonderful piece that reminds me somewhat of how the Romans did their architecture. Of course its made from fire clay and has an overflow hole. Kohler is known of their quality products and I’m sure this pedestal sink is no different.
